Call for Design Proposals
Stéphanie Baechler, 2015
Sundaymorning@EKWC and Taochixuan (TXC) invites designers to submit a design proposal that interests the consumer market and is suitable for mass production. Sundaymorning@ekwc cooperates with Taoxichuan (TXC), a Chinese organization that promotes and invests in the development of the world capital of porcelain, Jingdezhen, China. With this call we aim to create a new brand with the injection of diversified concepts of design with ceramics..
There are no requirements regarding the proposal. Approximately 10 proposals will be selected. Taoxichuan will make prototypes of these 10 proposals. The designers selected will be invited to visit Jingdezhen from 9 – 14 September 2019, visit the factory, meet the staff, discuss and modify the samples/prototypes. These prototypes will be launched at the Autumn Market in Taoxichuan (16 – 19 October 2019) and probably during the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven and Salone di Mobile in Milan.
