Residencies are open to creative professionals worldwide who would like to explore the possibilities of ceramics.
Maybe you want to expand your knowledge of the techniques and materials. Or maybe you are interested in working on a specific project. Not only you will have access to all facilities of the center for a period of twelve weeks, also our specialised technical staff is available for advice.
An academic education and two years of independent professional work are required for admission to Sundaymorning@ekwc.
The selection will be based on documentation of the last five years’ work, a work plan and a motivation. Recently graduated applicants are advised to add one or two letters of recommendation.
Sundaymorning@ekwc will assess the applications that come in through public application rounds. In general the selection takes place about one year before the residency starts, so participants have time to organize their finances, jobs, exhibitions, etc.
Through an agreement between Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) and Sundaymorning@ EKWC, one residency of a Spanish candidate will be made possible by the AC/E. The selected participant will have covered for 12 weeks the expenses of the Residency Program, including advise, studio, accommodation, use of materials and kilns (the latter up to € 2.000), go/return flights from Spain (economy class). For Spanish applications only: extended deadline 30 June 2020.
Participants are responsible for the visa procedure – if required.
